Important: The advanced visibility check is now applied to all surfbar campaigns and no longer needs to be individually enabled.
The advanced visibility check is an additional measure to ensure consistently high quality. When this option is enabled, our system uses the HTML5 Visibility API to check whether the impression occurs in the visible area of the screen when the page is loaded. The impression is only delivered if a positive response is confirmed.
Many advertisers consider the advanced visibility check a proven method for improving the quality of surfbar impressions and traffic.
Furthermore, the visitor filter helps save valuable resources and server capacity. The server is relieved by only establishing the connection to the end user when the website is actively in their focus.

When is my website not visible?
Not visible does not mean that the advertised page is not loading correctly. Visibility in this context refers to the arrangement of browser windows and tabs. When a visitor has multiple browser tabs open, all tabs that are not actively displayed and loaded in the foreground are considered not visible.
When is my website visible?
All tabs that are loaded in the foreground (in an active window or tab) are considered visible. You may be familiar with this behavior from larger video portals: if a video is opened in a background window or tab, the video only loads when the page is brought to the foreground.
