I had the same but found the issue..
For Slicify to work, you will need to enable Hardware Virtualisation in the BIOS.You may need to check with your computer manufacturer on how to do this (since different PCs run different BIOS settings). The general procedure is:
  1. Restart your computer
  2. When it first powers on (when you see a black screen and normally a short message or logo), press and hold the BIOS setup key
  3. If your computer doesn't tell you which key, try holding Delete, F1, or F2
  4. Your computer should then launch a blue text screen (the BIOS screen)
  5. Find the menu item in the BIOS labelled 'Hardware Virtualisation' or similar and enable it
