Topic: Piwik doesn't count lenght of visit time

Hi guys,

I'm a little bit confused about the time of visit function. It doesn't matter what time I set there, my piwik statistics show a 0 second lenght of visit time. I think this is a bit to short and even if I change the rate to 2 minutes piwik still counts 0 seconds. I thought it would might be necessary if the surfbar tab is open in front of or at the background, but it isn't. I opened my website in a background window and piwik starts to count.
I don't get it, why don't piwik starts to count when someone arrives into the surfbar?

Sorry but I can't tell you why piwik does not take that into consideration. I don't know.

As the most other web statistic systems, piwik does not really measure the real time of the visit. It measures the time between two page loads in the same session. So if your visitor only visits the index page, the view time will be 0.

To fix this, you should add more subpages to our system. If you get enough views, the middle view time will rase.
