Queenstown is the capital city of the Queenstown Lakes District on the south island of New Zealand and is located on the Lake Wakatipu. The Lake is the third largest inland lake of New Zealand. The area around the lake is very popular with hikers, mountain bikers as well as with water sportsmen. Queenstown is an attractive location for adventure tourist because bungee-jumping, skiing and jet boat rides are only a few of the numerous possible sports activities here. Although the city is relatively small there are various bars and cafes.
