Kathmandu

Kathmandu is the capital city of the landlocked country Nepal. It is the political as well as the cultural center of the country and accommodates its most important institutions. The old town is specified through a high density and there are a plenty of Hindu temples. Other important religious buildings and sanctuaries can be explored in the outlying districts. Furthermore, there is the valley with the three royal cities Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur which belong to the UNESCO World Heritage since 1979.
