Lion

The lion is commonly known as the king of beasts, nevertheless he is only the second largest cat species, behind the tiger. At night, lions can see six times as good as humans and their roar can be perceived from a distance of up to 8 km. Unlike most other cat species, lions live and hunt in a pack.
